About this kit
The R8CE Carbon is the carbon-wrapped variant of Blaze’s flagship MQB Gen 4 EVO induction system. Designed specifically for the EA888.4 engine bay in the Golf MK8 GTI/R, Audi A3/S3 8Y, Cupra Leon Mk4 and related platforms. Carbon fibre heat shield manages charge-air temperatures under sustained load. Direct-fit installation using OEM mounting points — no cutting, no drilling, fully reversible to stock. Engineered and validated by Blaze for the Gen 4 EVO turbo packaging.

Will this intake fit my car?
This kit is designed and validated for the vehicles listed in the “Fits these vehicles” box above. If your year, model and engine code match, it is a direct-fit installation. If you are unsure, email sales@blazeperformance.com with your VIN and we will confirm fitment.Do I need a tune (remap) to run this intake?
No — the kit is designed to work safely on a stock ECU map. You will get the airflow and intake-note gains either way. If you are already running a Stage 1 or higher tune, this intake is fully compatible and will not require recalibration.Why a 100 mm (4 inch) inlet?
The inlet diameter, filter placement, heat shielding and pipe routing are chosen to maximise clean, cool airflow without disturbing the OEM turbo packaging or charge temps. Every kit is dyno- and road-validated on the target chassis before it ships.Is the install reversible?
Yes. The kit bolts on using the existing OEM mounting points and the original airbox can be re-installed at any time. There is no cutting, drilling or permanent modification required.Off-road or street legal?
