Platform: PQ35 chassis | Compatible with both EA113 (FSI/K04) and EA888 Gen 1/2 (TSI/K03) engines
⚠ Cross-fitment notes (PQ35 has two engine generations)
Hose connections (Bayonet vs Silicone): The Mk6 GTI factory plumbing uses clip-on (bayonet) connectors from the EA888 Gen 1/2 engine. If you are moving this intercooler onto an older EA113 car — Mk5 GTI, Audi S3 8P, etc. — the core itself bolts straight into the radiator support, but you may need different silicone transition hoses to map to the EA113 turbo discharge and throttle body pipes. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure which engine you have.
Core depth & AC condenser clearance: On some chassis (notably Audi TT 8J and VW Tiguan 5N), tighter bumper skin and AC condenser clearance may require slight trimming of the plastic radiator shroud or core support to seat thicker upgraded cores. Most Golf platform installs are direct-fit with no trimming.

Frequently asked questions
Will this intercooler fit my car?
See the “Fits these vehicles” box above. The intercooler is a direct OEM replacement — it uses the same mounting points and end-tank locations as the original, so it bolts on without modification to the bumper, crash bar or charge piping.
Do I need a tune to benefit from this?
No — even on a stock ECU, the larger core holds charge-air temperatures lower under sustained load, which improves repeatability of pulls and protects the engine from heat soak. The benefits scale with power, so it pairs especially well with Stage 1+ tunes.
What is the difference between bar-and-plate and tube-and-fin?
Bar-and-plate cores hold pressure better, resist damage from track debris, and have a higher thermal capacity per unit volume — at the cost of slightly higher weight than tube-and-fin. This is the design we use because reliability under track conditions is the priority.
Is the install reversible?
Yes. The intercooler is a direct OEM swap and the original unit can be re-fitted at any time.
